Happy Birthday to Me!

Yesterday was my birthday, but I had to wait until today to celebrate, since it is Saturday.  Mommy decided on a duck theme since that was one of my first words (of course after she decided on the theme, I quit saying the word ;).  Check out all the cool stuff at my party.  Here is the duck cake that Mommy worked really hard on and stressed over for days.  Great job Mommy, it is awesome!

Here are my duck sandwiches that Uncle Andrew and Aunt Kelly made for the party.  They were super tasty and we have plenty left over if anyone wants some duck PB&J sandwiches.  Thanks Uncle Andrew & Aunt Kelly!

Mommy & Daddy even spent the last month making duck ice.

And then it was cake time.  Everyone sang Happy Birthday to Me!

Then, Mommy cut off the head of the duck and gave it all to me.  Believe it or not, I didn't really care about eating cake.  

But Julia wanted to help me with my duck head.

And then it was present time!!!!!!!  I got so many cool presents - thanks everybody!  Here is my opening my new keyboard from Grammy.  Cool!

I was tired from all the festivities, so Daddy opened my next gift.  Grammy made me 3 outfits, wow!  Thanks Grammy!

Gangi & Pop Pop got me my very own chair.  I can't wait to play with all my new toys in my cool chair!

And then Gracen gave me a microphone.  It is definitely Daddy's favorite gift!

Then we all went outside to play with my new swing that Mommy & Daddy bought me, but that Uncle Andrew was so nice to hang for me.  He had to cut back a bunch of limbs and go to Lowe's to get a chain.  Thanks Uncle Andrew, Mommy & Daddy - this swing is cool!

Then Gracen took a turn.  I think she liked it too.

And finally I rode around the yard in my car.  

Oh wow, what a fun day.  Thanks to everyone who came to my party - I had a blast!

After my 2 1/2 hour nap, Uncle Andrew and Aunt Kelly came and took my picture again - I will post pictures soon.  Good night everyone - I'm tired!  Thanks to everyone who made my birthday a special one!

My 1st Birthday - 6/19/2009

On Friday, June 19th at 1:50, I turned 1 years old.  Mommy had the camera around all day because she wanted to remember our entire day together!  She had the day off, so I was so happy that we got to spend the day together.  I don't know why, but Mommy kept tearing up all day and giving me kisses and telling me how much she loved me.  I didn't see what the big deal was!

Mommy came in my room and of course I had taken my shirt off during the night.  I handed Mommy my paci like I always do :)

Then Mommy gave me my very last bottle ever.  She was sad about it, but I don't get what the big deal is.  I'm a big girl and big girls don't drink out of bottles!

Then Mommy let me play around in my Birthday Suit.  Look how big I'm getting!

I was too excited about it being my birthday to take my morning nap, so Mommy gave up and then we went to eat lunch with Daddy at Pei Wei.  I was so happy to see Daddy in the middle of the day!

Mommy wanted to get her picture made with the Birthday Girl.  Seriously Mommy, I'm too old for this!

Then I fed Daddy some of my fortune cookie ;)

After lunch, Mommy went home thinking that I may take a nap, but oh no, I had different plans.  When we got home, our house was really hot, so I didn't want to sleep.  Mommy panicked because we were supposed to have my party at my house the next day.  She called Cordova Heating and Air and they were at our house within 20 minutes.  Wow, that was a close call!

After Daddy got home from work, we went over to eat with Grammy, Granddaddy, Uncle Andrew and Aunt Kelly.  I spent the night with all of them so Mommy and Daddy could get ready for my duck party.  I can't wait!

Oh, and Mommy wanted me to post a picture of me this time last year so all of you guys could see how much I had grown.  

Wow, I was so tiny!  But I'm a big girl now - I'm 1!

Hard Days Work

On Saturday, Mommy and Daddy worked really hard on the backyard, so we could have a pretty place to play for my party.  They worked all day.  Mommy chased me around all day and painted the windows when I was napping.  Daddy hung the swing under our new arbor

 and planted me a garden.  

Mommy got sick of watching me, so she locked me in Rylie's kennel.

Hahaha, just kidding, I did this to myself!

No more projects for us, at least for now.  Time to enjoy the summertime!

Family Weekend

Last weekend, we all packed up and went to celebrate Pop Pop's b-day at his lake.  He just had a new dock built too - it was super fun.  Happy Birthday Pop Pop - hope it was a special one.  Here is me and Pop Pop celebrating.  He took my shirt off b/c he though I was hot.  Silly Pop Pop.  Sorry, you can't really see Pop Pop - my head is too big!

On Sunday, we went Gangi and Pop Pop's house b/c Pop Pop, Uncle Jared, and Brandon and Will were having a rib cook off.  All the grown ups had 1 rib from each competitor and then they voted.  Guess who got LAST place?!?!  Yep, Pop Pop!!  We all thought it was pretty funny that Pop Pop got beat by all the young guys.  Hehehe.  While the guys were grilling, Gracen and I played in her pool.

It was SO much fun - I love playing in the water!

If you were wondering why all the pictures on this post are so good it is because Aunt Stefanie took all the pictures with her fancy camera.  Thanks Aunt Stefanie!

On Tuesday, Mommy was folding clothes and she came back and found me in the pantry.  I'm always into trouble!

Mommy and Daddy are going to be doing yard work and fixing up the house all weekend for my party next week - I can't wait!  

New Shoes & Crazy Hair

On Saturday, I went swimming at Brienne's (Mommy's work buddy) pool.  When I got home I was exhausted, so Mommy just put me to bed with my hair wet.  Check my hair out when I woke up.

On Sunday, Daddy took me to the zoo for some fun, while Mommy went out and bought me some new Nike shoes and ran some errands.  Here is me after I put them on.  Haha, Mommy, these are super cool!!!

Look Mommy, I can even stand up on 1 foot!  After wearing my new shoes for a few minutes I stood up all by myself for about a minute.  Mommy, watch out!!!!!

Today, I did so many new things.  I pushed my toy all the way across the yard and drank all of my milk out of my sippy cup.  Mommy was SO proud of me, but sad at the same time.  I'm not a little girl anymore!!!  After my fun day, Mommy and I went inside and found Madellyn in my bed!

Hahaha, Madellyn, you are silly and NOT allowed in MY bed!!!!!  Mommy and I did a lot of shopping today for my party in a few weeks.  I can't wait - it won't be long until I am ONE!!!

Redneck Bowling

Every Wednesday night, a bunch of my buddies are in a bowling league.  Mommy, among many others, like to refer to it as redneck bowling because, well that's kind of what it is.  The name was given to the bowlers by mommy's bootcamp instructor, Tony.  Well, on Wednesday 'Aunt Lindsey' and 'Aunt Celeste' invited me to go.  Mommy, I'm not quite so sure about these redneck bowlers (the following picture was taken by 'Aunt Lindsey - don't want to get sued for violating the copyright laws ;)

But, after I was there for awhile, I realized that bowling looked fun!

I sure hope I get invited to redneck bowling again soon!  Daddy, can I have please have my birthday party at the bowling lanes?

I Love My Dogs

One of my favorite things to do is stand outside of Rylie's kennel and taunt her.  I think it is hilarious and don't understand why Rylie does not.  Also my new favorite word is 'gawg.' 

Poor Rylie!  But, she is always a good sport about it.  She even lets me pull on her tail and ears without growling at me.  I love Rylie!

I also like to play in the dogs water bowl and with their food.

Happy Birthday Gracen!!

Last Saturday, was cousin Gracen's birthday.  Her Mommy & Daddy had a super fun party for her.  Here is Gracen before all the festivities.  Her Daddy got her a super cool airbrush shirt for her big day!

Gracen got TONS of cool toys (which is good for me since I get to play with them every Wednesday).  Mommy didn't get any pictures of Gracen opening her gifts since she was chasing me around because I didn't want to sit still.  But, we did get pictures of the cool part - CAKE!!  Aunt Stefanie made Gracen her very own cake and let her eat as much of it as she wanted

I hope Mommy does the same thing for me at my party in a few weeks (hint, hint, Mommy).  Then it was my turn for a cupcake.  I don't know quite what to think about this, Mommy.

But, I guess I will try some.

Hahaha, I got some in my hair.  Good thing Mommy took all my clothes off before cake time.

Congratulations Dr. Captain Uncle Andrew!

It was a crazy, but fun week!  On Friday, we loaded up the Jeep and traveled about 9 hours to Mobile, AL to see Uncle Andrew graduate medical school.  Normally, it would not take this long, but I was not happy about the car ride, so we had to make a lot of stops.  Graduation was so cool (even though Daddy took me home halfway through the ceremony).  Not only did Uncle Andrew graduate medical school, but he was also promoted from Lieutenant to Captain in the Air Force!!!  AND he got an award for Most Outstanding Student in Emergency Medicine.  We are all so proud of him!  Sorry there are no pictures, but Mommy left her camera in the car. Can you believe that?!?  

To celebrate Uncle Andrew's accomplishment, we all went to the beach.  And when I mean all, I mean ALL!  Of course Daddy, Mommy, Grammy, Granddaddy, Uncle Andrew and Aunt Kelly came, but also Great Granddaddy, Aunt Watts, Uncle Greg, Cousin Kristin, Cousin Kari, and Aunt Kelly's parents came.  Wow, what a crew!!!

The first day at the beach was Mother's Day.  It was Mommy's first Mother's Day, so it was really special.  Daddy and I got Mommy a pearl bracelet because it is my birthstone.  Wasn't that sweet of us?!?  

In the morning, we lathered up in SPF 50 and headed to the beach.  Here is me in the sand

And then Mommy and Daddy wanted me to get in the ocean.  Ahhh, Mommy, I don't think so - this is COLD!!!

Even though they almost gave me frostbite, I still smiled for the family photo.  Aren't we a good looking family?

After staying at the beach for a little while, Mommy and Daddy took me to the pool to try out my new turtle float.

I had SO much fun at the pool that Mommy and Daddy decided this is where we would spend the rest of our short stay in Sandestin ;)

Since it was Mother's Day, all of us kids got together and decided we wanted to take our Mother's out for dinner!  We went to the Red Bar and it was delicious!  After dinner, we took pictures of all the mommies.  Here is me with Mommy and Grammy.  3 generations!

We had SO much fun at the beach and spending time with all the family.  Sorry I don't have any pictures of the rest of the family, but don't worry, I will post them with I get them.  Plenty of pictures were taken - but I have to wait until people e-mail them to me ;0.  Aunt Kristin even took a movie of me playing on the bed (click HERE to see the video).  I loved playing with all the family and I think they enjoyed seeing me.  I will post pictures when I get them, I promise.  

Ok, gotta go take my nap because Mommy and Daddy are taking me to BBQ fest tonight!

It's May and I'm Getting Big Fast

I can now stand up anywhere, holding onto anything. Yesterday I even stood up by myself for a few seconds. Here is me the other day when Mommy came to get me out of bed. I always stand waiting patiently until she gets me up ;0

I am going to Uncle Andrew's medical school graduation this week and then we are going to the beach. Sorry if I don't have a chance to post anymore pics until I get back, but I'm going to be busy!
