Merry Christmas!

I know I promised to post pictures of my weekend in Tullahoma, but Mommy never got the pictures from Uncle Andrew.  But, I will blog about it when I get them, I promise!

I had a the best first Christmas ever.  This is going to be a long post, so be patient - there is so much to tell!  Mommy and Daddy took Christmas Eve off from work so they could spend the day with me.  We started out by going and celebrating Christmas with the Rawlinsons.  Gracen and I got the most presents of course ;)  Here is us after we got our presents from Uncle Josh. Gracen was sick all week, so that is why she looks so sleepy.  Do you like our matching dresses?
Then I got my singing dog from Gangi.  I played with it all day so Mommy and Daddy still have the songs stuck in their head :)
Then we went to see the Housholder side of the family.  Again, I had the most presents under the tree ;)
My Grandmother (who has yet to pick a fun Grandmother name) made me this dress.  Isn't it pretty?
After I opened all my gifts everyone ate Christmas dinner while I jumped in my Johnny Jump Up.  Then we went to the Christmas Eve Service.  Even though it was past my bedtime, I still was good.

The next morning I woke up and it was Christmas!  Here is me with Mommy before we opened gifts:
Here is me with Daddy:
Then it was stocking time!
I had so much fun opening all my gifts with Mommy and Daddy.  I got so many new toys!  After I was finished opening my gifts, Daddy blew up my penguin.  I thought it was fun at first, but now I'm scared of it :)
I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas.  I know I did!

Crazy Hair Day

Daddy gave me a bath last night and when he dried my hair look what it looked like.  Silly Daddy!
This past weekend I went to see Mommy's family.  They all thought I was pretty cute.  Mommy has not gotten any pictures from Uncle Andrew yet, but when she does, I promise to post pictures and tell you all about my weekend.  Until then, here is a preview:
2 more days until Christmas!

6 Month Check Up

Today I went in for my 6 month check up.  Mommy asked Grandmother Lou to go with us because last time I was bad so she didn't really get to talk to the doctor.  I weighed in at an impressive 16 pounds, 7 ounces and was 26 inches long.  For those that aren't good at math like Mommy is, I have grown 8 inches and gained almost 11 pounds in 6 months.  Wow!  The nurse gave me 5 shots today, so when I got home, I was exhausted.  When I woke up, I was still a little sore, but mommy is so smart and gave me Tylenol, so I was happy.  She tried to sit me up, so she could take pictures of my cute Band-Aids, but I would have none of that.  I wanted to take me socks off instead.
Hahaha, I got it!
But, Mommy is pretty smart, so she laid me on the floor and gave me a toy so she could get pics of the Band-Aids.
She was successful, so I decided to smile ;)
Ok, I know what you guys are thinking.  To answer your question, I am 50th percentile in height, weight and head circumfrance, so I am about as 'normal' as they come.  But, of course, I am still advanced ;)  The doctor was very impressed with how happy I was during my appointment.

I get to see all of Mommy's family this weekend, so I am really excited!  I get to see my Great Granddaddy, Great Aunt Watts, Cousin Kristin & Kari, Uncle John and Uncle Andrew and Aunt Kelly.  I can't wait!

Christmas PJ's

Mommy came in and woke me up at 8:30 this morning b/c we are going to church.  Here is me before she woke me up.
Then I rolled over and stretched and saw Mommy.  Look how excited I was.
11 more days until my first Christmas.   Mommy left all my gifts out in plain sight because she doesn't think that I know what is going on, but I do and I'm so excited!  Just because I can't talk doesn't mean I can't see!  We went and visited Santa yesterday as well.  We had so much fun and I hope Mommy can figure out how to put the picture up of Santa and me!  Does everybody like my new pj's?

Busted

Mommy left the room today for a few seconds and when she came back in I was blogging....
Uh oh, she caught me!  Busted!
Don't worry everybody, she said it was ok if I continued to blog, but now I have to start asking permission to use the computer.

Hangin Out with Mommy

Daddy wasn't home tonight so I hung out with Mommy and guess what I did?
I sat up all by myself!!!  But, I can't do it for long yet, so Mommy didn't get a pic.  Then I ate an entire container of peas, because Mommy said it would make me stronger so I could sit up longer.  Then I played with Java and Rylie.  Here is me entertaining them.
Mommy and I get to play together all weekend long, so I am super excited!  She told me I get to eat pears tomorrow, so yeah!  Hope everyone has a good weekend!

A Lot to Be Thankful For

For my very first Thanksgiving, we decided to celebrate Thanksgiving with the Rawlinsons (Gangi, Pop Pop, Uncle Josh, Uncle Jared, Aunt Stefanie and Cousin Gracen) on Wednesday.  Pop Pop cooked a Mexican Thanksgiving.  I thought it was silly that he didn't make a turkey, but since Gracen and I just drank our Similac we didn't care.  But, Pop Pop, next Thanksgiving, Gracen and I get a say so in what we have!

Then on Thursday, Mommy got up and ran the Turkey Trot with her buddies.  When she got home she didn't feel so good.  I think I gave her my stomach virus I had last week.  Wasn't that nice of me?  For dinner, we went to the Housholders (Grandmother Lou, Granddaddy and Uncle John).  Grandmother Lou made the turkey, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, green beans - you know all the normal Thanksgiving food.  Mommy was so sad she didn't get to eat much, but I guess there is always next year.

This is the time of year when you look around and realize that you have so much to be thankful for.  I have a warm bed:
Plenty to eat (as you can tell):
And most importantly I have so many people who love me a lot and want what is best for me. This might not have been the most exciting Thanksgiving (especially since Uncle Andrew and Aunt Kelly went to Europe instead of coming to see me), but I do have so much to be thankful for.  I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving!
