25 Random Things about Me

I saw Mommy on the computer this morning reading 25 random things about her friend.  I thought I would do the same thing.

1.  My Mommy and Daddy are the greatest.

2.  I'm scared of the vacuum.

3.  I love Similac

4.  My favorite thing to do is jump

5.  I was 5 pounds 9 ounces and 18 1/4 inches when I was born on June 19th.

6.  My Mommy and Daddy started dating in high school and have been married for 4 years.

7.  I love spending time with my grandparents.

8.  Grammy makes a lot of my clothes

9.  I don't like to take naps at Gangi's house.  

10.  I do not like socks.

11.  I now weigh almost 19 pounds and am 7 months old.

12.  My Mommy weighed 17 pounds at 1 year old.

13.  My 1st tooth is coming in and it hurts

14.  I started sleeping through the night at 6 weeks old and have done it ever since.

15.  I can sit all by myself

16.  My Daddy works at Smith & Nephew and Mommy works at Legacy Wealth Management.

17.  I love music and want to be on American Idol when I am older.

18.  I spent the 1st 3 months of my life in my swing.

19.  I love to laugh.

20.  I smile every time I get my picture made because the orange light makes me laugh.

21.  I do not like to sleep in clothes - I take them off when I can

22.  My Uncle Andrew wants to put me in the crock pot.

23.  I have more clothes than Mommy and Daddy.

24.  I am not a picky eater. 

25.  I have blue eyes - Mommy has brown and Daddy as green, explain that one.

McKayla Bug

Mommy has been calling me McKayla Bug since I was born.  Now I have some pj's with bugs on them so I'm really a 'McKayla Bug'!!

I woke up this morning with a deep cough so I feel icky, so Mommy and I are going to hang out at the house today.  I don't like feeling this way, but at least I get to cuddle with Mommy!

Getting Big Fast

Last night the dogs and I went to see Gangi & Pop Pop for dinner.  We were all playing on the floor and then I took Pop Pop's hat.  Hehe, I look silly.

This morning I spent 1/2 the day with Grammy and 1/2 the day with Gangi.  Grammy called Mommy at lunchtime today with some big news.  She felt 2 of my teeth were breaking through. Then Gangi called Mommy at work and said 'Guess what?'  But, Mommy already knew what she was going to say.  My gums are really sore, but it's ok because I am excited about getting some teeth.  I've been really clingy to Mommy lately, but wouldn't you if you had sharp objects coming through your gums?!?

Then I got home and played with Mommy and Daddy on the floor. 

Notice my hair in this next picture.  It is out of control.  Mommy and Daddy brush it all the time, but can't get it to stay down.  I think I need some styling products ;)

I will keep everyone updated on the status of my teeth.

Everyone Was Sick All Week

Mommy woke up Monday morning with a high fever, headache, sore throat, etc.  Daddy had the day off so he took care of Mommy and me that day.  He bought Mommy some medicine at the store and didn't realize it was going to make Mommy very sleepy.  She took 2 doses and slept the entire day.  Daddy let me peek in to check on her a few times but she was always sleeping!  Then on Tuesday night Daddy got a fever and had the same symptoms as Mommy, so he stayed home from work on Wednesday, but Mommy went to work so I still got to go see Gangi and Pop Pop.  By Thursday Mommy and Daddy were feeling better, but they still blow their noses all the time.  

I wish I knew how to blow my nose!  Mommy and Daddy keep holding me down and sucking my nose.  I keep telling them I don't like it, but they don't seem to care!  I have had a cold for a week now and Mommy got concerned because my snot was turning colors, so she took me to the doc.  He said I was just fine - that these colds just take a long time to get over.  Then they put me on the scale and I now weigh 18 pounds, 8 ounces!

Hopefully we will all have a much better week this week.  Lately I have been really clingy to Mommy and Daddy - I want their undivided attention at all times.  You would too if you felt like I do!

I don't like to wear PJ's at night

Brrr it was cold last night.  But, I didn't seem to care.  When Mommy came in to get me up this morning, I had taken off my pants, socks and tried to take off my shirt, but was unsuccessful because the buttons were too tight.  I did manage to get my arms free though.

When I saw Mommy I couldn't help but to smile.

Mommy and Daddy's friend made me a new shirt for Christmas.  Isn't it cute?  

Tomorrow Daddy has the day off, but Mommy has to work, so I get Daddy entirely to myself tomorrow.  It's going to be a lot of fun!

Lots of Fun with Mommy this Week

Mommy and I had a great week together.  I am so glad she got home safely from her trip.  On Tuesday we went and ran a lot of errands together.  Here is me trying out my new stroller before we left.

On Thursday my Grammy dropped me off at Mommy's work.  I was a big hit.  Mommy's boss took my picture.  

Then last night Mommy let me wear my new pj's that Aunt Celeste bought me for Christmas.  It was 10 degrees last night, so I was glad to have my warm pajamas.

Then Madellyn the cat jumped on the bed next to me.  Did you notice that we smile the same way for the camera?

I started saying Mama this week.  It made Mommy really happy ;)

Mommy and Daddy's Vacation

Mommy and Daddy went on vacation last week to Jackson Hole without me to go skiing.  Since I am too little to ski I stayed in Memphis.  I was supposed to stay with Gangi for part of the trip and Grammy for the other part, but Gangi got the flu so I stayed with Grammy and Granddaddy for the entire time.  We had so much fun together.  Grammy taught me a bunch of new tricks and I grew a lot while Mommy and Daddy were gone.  Mommy and Daddy had a great time, but they missed me like crazy.  Of course I was in good hands back in Memphis.  Here are some pictures from Mommy and Daddy's trip:

I am glad that Mommy and Daddy got a break, but I am so happy that we are all home again. 

New Outfits and New Smile

My Grammy (who has changed her name from Grandmother Lou, and Huggy and many others to Grammy.  I keep telling Mommy that when I start talking I will call her whatever I want.  I'm thinking I will choose from Granny, Grandma, and other names that Uncle John & Andrew will encourage) made these outfits for me for Christmas:

Don't I look pretty?  Now every time Mommy pulls the camera out to take my picture I open my mouth as wide as I can.  This is my new trick.  Mommy took tons of pictures in both outfits and they all look the same.  Me with my mouth wide open.

Since I can't eat black eyed peas yet, Daddy decided today would be a good day to teach me to swing.  Enjoy my video.
