Happy Thanksgiving

This year, I have SO much to be thankful for. A warm bed, food, and a family who loves me very much. I started out the day by sleeping until 8:30 b/c Mommy was out training for her 1/2 Marathon next weekend (if anyone wants to make a donation to St. Jude on her behalf, go to www.mystjudeheroes.org/lwm). When she got home we went to the Thanksgiving Service at church, then we went off to the Housholder side of the family to see Grammy, Granddaddy and Uncle John for lunch. It was around my naptime, so I just ate turkey and cheese and then went to bed, so everyone could have a quiet Thanksgiving lunch.
BUT, when I woke up, I wanted to read the baby Jesus book with Uncle John
And THEN he let me play with his iPhone. He has this whoopee cushion app on his phone that makes toot toot noises and he taught me how to play. I thought it was HILARIOUS!!

Uncle John is SO much fun! I can't wait until Mommy lets me spend the weekend in Nashville at his new house. Maybe when he gets it all fixed up he will invite me.

After this, we went to the Rawlinson family Thanksgiving. I got to go see Layla #2 (i.e, Gracen), Gangi, Pop Pop, Uncle Jared, Aunt Stefanie, and Uncle Josh. We had a lot of fun! Here is Layla #2 and I playing Ring around the Rosie

Then Gracen gave Daddy a crazy look - Hahaha, Gracen is funny
Then we sat on the stairs for our Thanksgiving appetizers - CRACKERS! (We only sit still this long when food is involved)
Then we had a yummy Thanksgiving meal and afterwards Layla #2 and I went outside to work off some of our meal - notice these days I have my favorite stuffed animal which I call Moo (it's a Moose that my Aunt Watts got me from Alaska) which I do not like to leave home without.
Then Uncle Josh took us on a walk and even brought us inside in the stroller. We love our Uncle Josh! Maybe soon Gracen and I can spend the night with Uncle Josh :)
Wow, what a day!!! It was a long day, but so much fun. I love my family so much!!! Before going home, I gave my Layla a kiss :)
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving like I did. I have so much to be thankful and am so glad that I got to spend 5 whole days with Mommy and 4 days with Daddy. Yeah!!

Fun Weekend

So, this weekend, Mommy, Granddaddy and I packed up and made the LONG trip to Tullahoma, TN to visit Big Daddy (my great granddaddy) and Mommy's Aunt Watts (which is technically my great aunt, but I'd rather just call her my aunt but she is SUPER cool and so much fun!) and Uncle Greg. I HATE car rides, so that part was kind of a drag, but when we got there, Aunt Watts had dinner waiting for us - which was my favorite meal - breakfast for dinner!! (Daddy refers to this as 'brinner').
It was getting late, so after dinner, I took a bath and headed for bed because it had been a LONG day!
The next morning Mommy told me that I got to spend the entire day with my aunt b/c she was going to meet Aunt Kelly in Nashville to go shopping with Uncle John. They were going to look for some 'cute' stuff for Uncle John's new house. Mommy and Aunt Kelly had a lot of fun looking for couches and 'accessories' with John and I think he actually enjoyed it too.

While Mommy was gone, I had a blast with Aunt Watts and all her "doggies." She has FIVE dogs!!! My favorite was Katy because we are both the same age and both have a lot of energy. Here is us playing in the recycling bins

And then we headed to the park
I played in the tubes
And in the rocks
Aunt Watts even helped me learn how to count and we played music together. We had so much fun!!! I have the greatest family! Mommy said we are going back to visit for Christmas very soon. I can't wait to see Aunt Watts, Big Daddy and all the doggies again! Mommy even said Kristin, Scott, and Kari will be there too!

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. I have so much to be thankful for. I have so many people who love me and I look forward to spending the day with my family!

Mommy and Daddy Got a New Camera

Last week when we were making our weekly family trip to Target, Mommy and Daddy were browsing in the electronic department b/c they have been looking for a camera for quite awhile now, so they could get better pictures of ME :). The one they were looking for was on sale, so Mommy and Daddy got their Christmas present early. They still need a good lens (hint hint hint), but here are a few pictures from the week.

Here is me playing in Mommy and Daddy's bed before breakfast.
Bouncing on the bed - Check out my bed head hair :)
Here is me this morning when I was told we were going out to breakfast and then to the park!
Here is me when we got to the park on the way to see the DUCKS!!!
First Mommy made me post for a picture with her
Ok, off to see the QUACK QUACKS
Mommy, can I take one home with me?
After much swinging and sliding with LAYLA (i.e. Gracen), I was tired and ready to go home for a nap.
I'm sure there will be more pictures soon!!!!

Halloween

Sorry it has been so long since I have blogged, but there are 2 reasons for this. 1. I won't sit still long enough for Mommy to take my picture anymore and 2. Our Internet has been out for an entire month! But don't you guys worry, I am back to blogging and will make it my TOP PRIORITY to keep my readers happy.

A lot has happened this past month, but I am going to blog about Halloween because it was SO much fun!! Gracen came over, so we hit the streets to find some candy.
I was a duck and Gracen was a pumpkin!
Gracen looks like a big girl with her pig tails
"Layla" (which is what I call myself and Gracen) was a crazy person
Watch out, duck on the loose
Here is us trick or treating. I liked the candy better with the wrapper on ;)
Trick or treat!!!
I was not happy about it, but I took a break for a family photo
After trick or treating, we ate dinner and I had a bath and then Gangi gave me my 1st candy bar
I don't know what to think about chocolate. Mommy seems to love it, so maybe I will someday!
This Halloween was way more fun than last year when Mommy dressed me up as a RAT!!
Wow, I have grown a lot since last year! Ok, time for bed. I promise not to wait another month before my next post!

It's Fall!

Sorry I haven't blogged in awhile, but I don't sit still long enough for Mommy to take my picture, but I did want to share with everyone about my week. Friday was Mommy's 28th b-day! Daddy and I celebrated by making Mommy her favorite breakfast - chocolate chip waffles! Then we went and shopped at the Gap b/c Aunt Kristin got her a gift card for new jeans and Mommy wanted them ASAP (you know how we girls love to shop!). After my nap, Mommy and Daddy took me to Gangi's house to spend the night so they could go to the movies and then a work event at Daddy's work. I love spending the night with Gangi! We had a lot of fun, but I woke up the next morning at 9:15 and felt terrible. I couldn't breathe well so Mommy and Daddy took me to the doctor and I had croup. Never heard of that before, but I don't feel so bad because Mommy hadn't either :). The doc gave me a shot and some meds and I felt SO much better. Unfortunately I didn't get to go to Disney on Ice b/c the doc said I was contagious to little kids :( But, there's always next year!

Today, Mommy took me to the park because fall is finally here! It is so nice outside! I wish it was Fall all year round! Here is Mommy chasing me (of course I don't want to sit still for pics anymore ;)
And then Mommy pushed me in the swing. As you can tell, I LOVE to swing :)

Alright, time to go take a nap. Just for the record books, I officially only take one nap a day, which makes Mommy tired for some reason :)

Oh, here is a pic of me eating Rotel Chicken last week. I LOVE cheese and pasta!

iPhotos

We had a very eventful week, but Mommy (oh and Aunt Stefanie) didn't take many pictures except with her very cool iPhone (which is my favorite toy of all times)!

On Wednesday, Gangi was out of town so Aunt Stefanie and Gracen came and spent the day with me (Mommy owes Aunt Stefanie BIG time for this - which is fine with me because it just means I get to see Gracen more ;). Anyways, Gracen and I were having craft time with the markers, but we only wanted to color ourselves, not the paper :) Here is what I did to myself while Aunt Stefanie was trying to remove the marker from Gracen's hand.
We had a blast all day and didn't even want to sleep all day. Poor Aunt Stefanie!

Then on Saturday was Dada's real b-day. Happy 28th BIRTHDAY DADA!!! We celebrated by going out to breakfast, then to the Germantown Festival. It was a lot of fun. They even had rides for the little kids like me! Here is me on the airplane ride before takeoff.

And then after it started. It was so much fun and we went super fast (as you can tell)
For the rest of Dada's b-day we went to Charlie's 1st B-day party (also SUPER fun!) and then I got to go to James and Candace's wedding. Wow, what a day! I slept good that night!

Mommy promises to go try to find a charger for the video camera so I can post videos of all I have learned lately.

Delta Fair + Dada's B-day

Sunday, Mommy & Daddy took me to the Delta Fair.  This is the 2nd time I have been to the Delta Fair - check out my pic from last year.  Wow, I have grown a lot in a year!
There wasn't much to do if you were under 32" and since I was only 30" I couldn't ride any of the rides, but I did get to go to the petting zoo!  Here is me and the goat having a staring contest
Then I fed the sheep
And kicked the horse.  I love the petting zoo!
Mommy and Daddy took turns riding the scary rides.  Mama looked sick after she rode the one that spun her upside down.  I'm glad I am too short for that one!  Then I posed for a pic, but was way too tired from all the activities to smile.
Then we left and someone gave me a "Lawler for Mayer" sticker.  Mommy and Daddy thought it was pretty funny.  Must be an inside joke because I didn't get it.  Oh well.
All in all the Delta Fair was a lot of fun!

Yesterday was Labor Day and everyone had the day off, so we celebrated Dada's 28th b-day!  It was a few days early, but it was the only time everyone could get together for the occasion.  Uncle Jared came over early to make everyone ribs so I got to play with Gracen!  We played in my car, in the sprinkler, and with bubbles.  We had so much fun.
I even made a special shirt for the occasion (ok, so maybe I didn't make it but Mommy and her buddy Brienne did and it looks like I made it since some of the letters are backwards, tehehehehe)
I hope Dada had a very special day.
