A Lot to Be Thankful For

For my very first Thanksgiving, we decided to celebrate Thanksgiving with the Rawlinsons (Gangi, Pop Pop, Uncle Josh, Uncle Jared, Aunt Stefanie and Cousin Gracen) on Wednesday.  Pop Pop cooked a Mexican Thanksgiving.  I thought it was silly that he didn't make a turkey, but since Gracen and I just drank our Similac we didn't care.  But, Pop Pop, next Thanksgiving, Gracen and I get a say so in what we have!

Then on Thursday, Mommy got up and ran the Turkey Trot with her buddies.  When she got home she didn't feel so good.  I think I gave her my stomach virus I had last week.  Wasn't that nice of me?  For dinner, we went to the Housholders (Grandmother Lou, Granddaddy and Uncle John).  Grandmother Lou made the turkey, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, green beans - you know all the normal Thanksgiving food.  Mommy was so sad she didn't get to eat much, but I guess there is always next year.

This is the time of year when you look around and realize that you have so much to be thankful for.  I have a warm bed:
Plenty to eat (as you can tell):
And most importantly I have so many people who love me a lot and want what is best for me. This might not have been the most exciting Thanksgiving (especially since Uncle Andrew and Aunt Kelly went to Europe instead of coming to see me), but I do have so much to be thankful for.  I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving!

Kenneth volunteered at the Turkey Trot. He said that he saw you mommy there. I was supposed to volunteer, but Will was sick so I ended up staying home with him.

My grandma didn't have turkey this year either. She made a pork roast. You never know what to expect when you go to her house!

We're sooooo sorry we missed yet another holiday. Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, all spent out of the country. But we will see you soon for a Christmas 2008 extravaganza (T-town and Memphris). Eat lots of squash for us so you'll be big when we get there.
