I'm Going to be a Big Sister

Just wanted to tell everybody that
around October 24, 2010.

I was super excited when Mommy told me the big news (in fact, she told me before Daddy ;). I like to rub Mommy's tummy and say "Mommy's baby". She keeps telling me that it is my baby and Daddy's baby as well, but that doesn't make sense to me since it is in her tummy. I can't wait to be a big sister!

20 months old

Well, I'm 20 months old now, and growing so fast. Here are a few of the highlights of the last few weeks of my life.

A few weeks ago, I got stranded and Gangi and Pop Pop's house b/c it snowed BIG TIME. Gangi thought Mommy tricked her when she said I could spend the night and when we all woke up there was snow EVERYWHERE!! But Mommy promises she had no clue it was supposed to snow :) Yes Gangi sent me out in my pj pants with plastic bags over my shoes.
Then, we went to Uncle Andrew and Aunt Kelly's house so Mommy, Brienne, Uncle John and Kristin could run the B'ham 1/2 marathon. Wow, it was a PACKED HOUSE!! I had so much fun and of course was always the center of attention. But, I was REALLY tired from the long trip, so it was a rough weekend for me :(

Here is a photo shoot that Daddy did of me while I was playing on Aunt Kelly's computer
Hehe

Check out Mommy and Brienne after the race. I'm so proud of them!
And here is me and Uncle Andrew when we were about to leave
And here is me after we finally got home. Ahhhhh, home sweet home. I love staying with Aunt Kelly and Uncle Andrew - they took SUCH good care of all of us - but there is no place like home!
After we got home from B'ham, Kristin stayed with us all week so she could write a book about my birthplace - TENNESSEE!! I can't wait for Mommy to read the book to me. Mommy and Kristin drove around taking pictures and interviewing people for the book. I think Mommy is going to be famous! Somehow, I didn't get any pictures of Kristin's visit, though I know she got some with her camera (she takes a lot of pictures like her Mommy does ;).

Ice/Snow Storm 2010

Yesterday it snowed at our house!!!!!!! Unfortunately as the day went on, we just had ice falling. But, I took the opportunity to get dressed up in my rain gear that my "Aunt" Kristin gave me.

I'm a ladybug
Check out my cool umbrella ;)
I got to spend the entire day with Mommy and Daddy because all the businesses and schools were closed. Mommy spent the day putting this together for me (My toys took over the eat in kitchen ;)
I think it's pretty cool ;)
Then when it was time for bed, the electricity went out. I was scared because it was so dark, but Daddy lit all the candles in the house so we could see. Fortunately, the lights came back on after an hour. I cheered when they did! Oh, and guess, what?!? I don't sleep with my paci anymore. I decided paci's were for babies and I'm a big girl now (ok, so maybe Mommy decided this for me ;)

The next morning, we were all in for a big surprise - our house was covered in ice!! Check out our birch tree! It doesn't normally look like this........
And this tree is leaning on our house. Uh Oh
Daddy took my picture through the window. Hehehe, silly Daddy
Java liked the ice too
And so did Rylie
And then after the roads cleared up Gracen came over to visit. Check out us sitting at the table like big girls eating lunch
I hope everyone stayed safe during the ice storm. I'm thankful that we have a warm house and that the ice will be leaving very soon!

Merry Christmas!!!!! 2009

We celebrated Christmas with Gangi and Pop Pop on Christmas Eve. Layla and I got Cookie Monster from Uncle Josh (i.e. Uncle Gosh), but I like to call Cookie Monster Elmo instead ;)
I got Layla "Potty Time with Elmo" to try to help her with going TeeTee, but I wanted to read it before giving it to her ;)
I got so many fun toys and clothes from everyone. Layla got me a drum and clothes and Gangi and Pop Pop got me clothes and some really cool toys. Thanks everybody! After presents we ate brunch and then Layla and I took a nap. When we got up, we jumped in the bed together
Then posed with a pic with Aunt Stefanie. I LOVE Aunt Stefanie - she is a great cuddler ;). Pretty soon Grant will be here. I can't wait to have a BABY in the family again.
And then Layla and I rocked in the rocking chair
Then it was off to have Christmas with the 'Housholder side' of the family. Everyone came in town and stayed with Grammy and Granddaddy for Christmas - Uncle John came along with Aunt Kelly and Uncle Andrew. Aunt Kelly even brought her buddy, Liz for the occasion.

Grammy bought me my very own BABY!!! She even smocked us matching dresses. Thanks Grammy!
I got lots of cool gifts, but sorry, no pics were taken of them. Uncle Andrew and Aunt Kelly got me a super cool brown jacket and shirt and Uncle John MADE me some shirts - I will definitely need to post pics of those ;). And Grammy and Granddaddy got me the BABY and some books and puzzles. Thanks everybody for the cool gifts! After presents I sat on Uncle John and waited for dinner
Unfortunately, I didn't eat Christmas dinner b/c I was feeling REALLY bad and was ready to go home. Sorry Grammy, I wish I could have eaten your potatoes this year!

I went to bed feeling really bad and when I woke up Christmas morning, I felt even worse, but I had so many presents from Mommy and Daddy to open!!! Here is me opening my very own ELMO!!!!
Mommy and Daddy bought me some COOL stuff!! I got a new kitchen for my room, a tricycle, a shopping cart, and lots of ELMO stuff (DVD's, books, etc). If you guys haven't figured it out ELMO is my new favorite thing. If Mommy would let me I would watch Elmo TV (i.e. Elmo DVD's) ALL day long, I would!

Here is Mommy and I watching Elmo's Animal Adventures (as you can tell, I don't feel good :(
Come to find out - I have a double ear infection :(
During my nap time, Daddy put together my kitchen and my super cool new tricycle. Thanks Daddy!!!
And then Mommy caught me in my room rocking my new baby from Grammy and feeding her a bottle. Mommy thought it was so strange that I knew what to do! Mommy doesn't realize that I'm pretty smart ;)
I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!!!

St Jude 1/2 Marathon

Last weekend Mommy and some of her buddies ran the Memphis St Jude 1/2 Marathon. They decided to call themselves the Golden Girls since the logo of Legacy Wealth Management (Mommy's work) is the Golden Egg. Lulu (i.e. Lindsey) kept singing the theme song of the Golden Girls show, but that is WAY before my time (and hers too ;) Brienne and Lindsey made theses super cool shirts too. They even raised over $1400 for St Jude - I'm so proud of the Golden Girls!

Here is Mommy, Brienne, Lindsey and Celeste before the race. They were smart staying inside until the last minute because it was COLD outside (about 27 degrees in fact)
Here is the start line
And here are the Golden Girls on Riverside Drive. Everyone kept cheering for the Golden Girls because the shirts were so cute. Notice how short Mommy is, hehehehehe ;)

Here is me and Mommy after the race. I had been out in the cold for a couple of hours, so I was not a happy camper
Here is me with all the Golden Girls with their new bling from finishing 13.1 miles. I'm proud of Mommy, but I am REALLY proud of Lulu. She had never run a 1/2 marathon before and she did GREAT!!! She even promised to do another one sometime!
And here is the Golden Girls without me.
After the race they took me to eat yummy Mexican food. Thanks to Daddy for taking me downtown to see Mommy. We had fun! Oh, and for copyright purposes, all the photos you see on this blog post are from Lulu's camera.

Trip to the Zoo

During our Thanksgiving break, Mommy and Daddy took me to the zoo. I enjoy the zoo more and more each time I go - since I now know the sounds a lot of the animals make. I can even make a pig sound WAY better than Mommy!!!! The sounds I do the best are the dog, cat, pig, sheep, and cow. I love animals!!!

Here are the monkeys
And the new Teton Trek exhibit
We also went and watched the seals do their show.
I thought they were very smart and lots of fun to watch! Check out the monkey backpack Mommy and Daddy bought me so they could keep up with me
Here is me and Mommy
CHEESE!!!!
And me and Daddy
Mommy ran the 1/2 marathon this weekend, so I promise to blog about that as soon as Lulu gets me some pictures (hint, hint ;)

Happy Thanksgiving

This year, I have SO much to be thankful for. A warm bed, food, and a family who loves me very much. I started out the day by sleeping until 8:30 b/c Mommy was out training for her 1/2 Marathon next weekend (if anyone wants to make a donation to St. Jude on her behalf, go to www.mystjudeheroes.org/lwm). When she got home we went to the Thanksgiving Service at church, then we went off to the Housholder side of the family to see Grammy, Granddaddy and Uncle John for lunch. It was around my naptime, so I just ate turkey and cheese and then went to bed, so everyone could have a quiet Thanksgiving lunch.
BUT, when I woke up, I wanted to read the baby Jesus book with Uncle John
And THEN he let me play with his iPhone. He has this whoopee cushion app on his phone that makes toot toot noises and he taught me how to play. I thought it was HILARIOUS!!

Uncle John is SO much fun! I can't wait until Mommy lets me spend the weekend in Nashville at his new house. Maybe when he gets it all fixed up he will invite me.

After this, we went to the Rawlinson family Thanksgiving. I got to go see Layla #2 (i.e, Gracen), Gangi, Pop Pop, Uncle Jared, Aunt Stefanie, and Uncle Josh. We had a lot of fun! Here is Layla #2 and I playing Ring around the Rosie

Then Gracen gave Daddy a crazy look - Hahaha, Gracen is funny
Then we sat on the stairs for our Thanksgiving appetizers - CRACKERS! (We only sit still this long when food is involved)
Then we had a yummy Thanksgiving meal and afterwards Layla #2 and I went outside to work off some of our meal - notice these days I have my favorite stuffed animal which I call Moo (it's a Moose that my Aunt Watts got me from Alaska) which I do not like to leave home without.
Then Uncle Josh took us on a walk and even brought us inside in the stroller. We love our Uncle Josh! Maybe soon Gracen and I can spend the night with Uncle Josh :)
Wow, what a day!!! It was a long day, but so much fun. I love my family so much!!! Before going home, I gave my Layla a kiss :)
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving like I did. I have so much to be thankful and am so glad that I got to spend 5 whole days with Mommy and 4 days with Daddy. Yeah!!
